L’Hammett Prize è un premio assegnato a opere di genere “crime”, thriller, mistery, suspence o di spionaggio, sia fiction che non, a un autore statunitense o canadese dalla North American Branch of the International Association of Crime Writers. Le nomination per il 2009 sono state le seguenti:

The Finder, di Colin Harrison (Farrar, Straus & Giroux)
City of the Sun, di David Levien (Doubleday)
The Turnaround, di George Pelecanos (Little, Brown)
South by South Bronx, di Abraham Rodriguez (Akashic)
Il vincitore sarà nominato durante la New Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association (NAIBA) Sales Conference, che si terrà a Baltimora il 4-5 Ottobre.
